Primordial - Interactive Coaster - just opend at Lagoon, USA

Primordial, the new interactive dark ride coaster has opened.

The new interactive coaster opened at the Lagoon theme park, USA, at the weekend.
The attraction is named Primordial by the park and is located near Cannibal, ART Engineering‘s mega coaster. Roller coaster vehicles were developed specifically for this new roller coaster. The train consists of two vehicles, each carrying up to four people. The vehicles are boarded in the middle, and two riders sit on the left and two riders sit on the right. This means a family of four can enjoy the interactive ride together.
The first ideas for this roller coaster date back to 2015. The Covid pandemic delayed the opening by several years.

After an approximately 26m high chain lift, the cars run through several drops and curves before entering a large man-made mountain. In this mountain, the vehicles turn in the desired direction depending on the interaction. The ride takes you past several interactive screens at reduced speed. In order to keep capacity high, the trains are directed to two different paths at a switch. The first path riders experience a vertical drop, while in the second path, riders are treated to a completely new alternate ending. Once at the bottom, the trains are brought to the main path using a switch and guided into the station.

The following is an overview of the technical data: Floor area: 70x100m
Height: 26m
Speed: approx. 65km/h

Length: 605m
Special features: Vehicles with 4 seats next to each other, vertical drop, slide drop, interaction elements.
Minimum height: 105cm
